Of every dollar you spend at the grocery store, how much does the farmer get? Half? Hardly. Try 19 cents, and that's down more than a dime since 1980. As making a living in agriculture gets increasingly tough for small operators, many are getting out. But a handful are trying to hang on by marketing their products and services directly to consumers.
